FocusPomo does not collect, store, share, or sell any personal data. The app works entirely on your device — no account required, no internet connection needed, no data sent to any server. What stays on your phone, stays on your phone.
1. Introduction
Welcome to FocusPomo: Pomodoro Timer ("the App"), developed and maintained by Jignesh Kikani ("I", "me", or "Developer"), an independent iOS developer.
This Privacy Policy explains how FocusPomo handles information when you use the App on your iPhone. I am committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring full transparency about how the App works in relation to your personal data.
By downloading or using FocusPomo, you agree to the terms described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
FocusPomo collects absolutely no personal information. The App does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal details such as your name, email address, phone number, or location.
All data generated by your usage — including focus sessions, task lists, session history, and settings — is stored exclusively on your local device and is never transmitted to any server or third party.

3. Notifications & System Permissions
FocusPomo uses the following iOS system features to deliver core functionality. No personal data is transmitted via any of these features.
- ✓Push Notifications — FocusPomo sends local alarm notifications when a Pomodoro session or break timer completes. These are generated entirely on-device and never routed through a remote server.
- ✓Live Activity & Dynamic Island — The App uses Apple's Live Activity framework to display your running focus timer on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. This is a local, on-device feature. No data is sent externally.
- ✓Background Processing — The App may continue running a timer in the background after you leave. This activity is handled entirely on-device and does not communicate with any server.
⚙️ You can manage notification permissions at any time via Settings → Notifications → FocusPomo on your iPhone.
4. Internet Access & Network
FocusPomo does not require an internet connection to function. All core features — Pomodoro timer, task management, session tracking, Live Activity, and break management — work fully offline.
The App does not make any network requests, does not connect to any backend server, and does not communicate with any third-party service or API during normal use.
5. Third-Party Services
FocusPomo does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics tools, advertising networks, or data-sharing services. The following tools are explicitly not used:
- ✕Google Analytics, Firebase, or any analytics platform
- ✕Facebook SDK, Meta Pixel, or social media trackers
- ✕Advertising networks (AdMob, AppLovin, etc.)
- ✕Crash reporting services (Crashlytics, Sentry, etc.)
- ✕Cloud sync or remote database services
The App is distributed through the Apple App Store, which is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Apple may collect standard App Store analytics as part of their platform — this is separate from FocusPomo's own data practices.
6. Children's Privacy
FocusPomo is suitable for users of all ages, including children. Since the App collects no personal information whatsoever, it fully complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and equivalent international regulations.
No parental consent is required for children to use FocusPomo, as the App collects no data from any user regardless of age.
7. Data Security
All data generated by FocusPomo is stored locally on your device, protected by your iPhone's built-in security features including device passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, and iOS data encryption.
You are in full control of your data. Deleting the FocusPomo App from your iPhone permanently erases all locally stored App data.
8. International Users & GDPR / CCPA
FocusPomo is available globally on the Apple App Store. Since the App does not transmit or store any personal data on remote servers, there is no cross-border transfer of personal data. Your data never leaves your device, regardless of your location.
This Privacy Policy is designed to comply with major international privacy regulations including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for EU users, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) for California users, and similar laws worldwide.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, particularly when new features are added in future versions. When significant changes are made, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised.
💡 Future versions of FocusPomo may include optional features such as cloud sync or AI-powered logging. If such features are introduced, this Privacy Policy will be updated and you will be clearly informed before any data is collected or stored externally.
10. Your Rights
Since FocusPomo does not collect any personal data, there is no personal data to access or delete from our end. However, you retain full control over data stored locally on your device:
- ✓Right to Deletion: Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all locally stored App data.
- ✓Right to Access: All your data (sessions, tasks, settings) is viewable directly within the App at all times.
- ✓Right to Portability: Your data is on your device — you have full access to it through your iOS device management.
